MindFree is a Los Angeles-based desert rock prog-psych band whose influences stretch from classic Motown grooves to the grit of grunge. Guitarist and vocalist Mark Abbruzzese has been creating music since childhood, and in 2018 he finally distilled that lifelong obsession into MindFree. Joined by drummer Ric Rosario and bassist/keyboardist Curtis Ortega, the trio has carved out a sound that feels both forward-thinking and familiar, blending vintage soul and 70s color with post-grunge punch, dreamy shoegaze edges, and hooks that don’t let go.

Their songs move from blistering bangers to honest ballads without ever losing the thread: melody first, heart always. Drawing inspiration from those riffs and rhythms that show up in dreams and hit out of nowhere, MindFree writes with sincerity and plays like they mean it - because they do.
